The Venetian Room belongs to Glendronach’s House Editions for travel retail, each themed around a room and a city. It married whisky from oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with whisky from casks that had held Amarone, the rich red wine of the Veneto.
The unique plush character, derived from these three exceptional cask styles, evokes the romantic waterways and artistic opulence of Venice, with a melody of maraschino cherry, amaretti and hazelnut chocolate.

Glendronach stands in the Valley of Forgue, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire. James Allardice started distilling here in 1826. Today the whisky is in the care of Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie. Until 2005 the stills were fired by coal, one of the last such set ups in Scotland.
