The Macallan 12 Year Old Fine Oak 6 x 70cl – Nick Veasey Six Pillars Collection

The Fine Oak series from Macallan was launched in 2004 and featured “triple matured” expressions, vatted from a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak, and bourbon casks. The range was rebranded as the Triple Cask in 2018 in order to bring it into line with the distillery’s new core range, where it is currently joined by Sherry Oak Cask and Double Cask age-statements.

The images depicted on the six bottles in this collection were taken using an x-ray machine by British photographer Nick Veasey.

The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
