Don Julio Tequila, made in the region of Jalisco, is one of the largest tequila brands in the United States. Its history dates back to 1942 when founder Don Julio González-Frausto Estrada began distilling tequila at age 17.
Named after the brand’s birth year, Don Julio 1942 is a limited-edition tequila which undergoes a second distillation in a special still known as Pot Still 6, which refines the flavours even further.

The tequila shows a brilliant golden colour. In the nose, sweet aromas of caramel and toffee are layered with a fresh vanilla fragrance and hints of red fruits like cherry mixed with caramel and almonds. On the palate, it presents itself silky and smooth with roasted agave and vanilla flavours, sun-ripened tropical fruits and spiced undertones. The sweet agave-laced finish is accompanied by lingering hints of oak and rich vanilla essence.
